Week-end in the south

South of ABQ: Bosque wildlife refuge, a wetland along the Rio Grande. I must admit I didn't spend too much time there, I was litterally attaqued by the mosquitos! Valley of fire: some lava rocks

White Sand national Monument: camping in the middle of the dunes... just magic !

A short passage in Texas: I don't know if friendly is a good word to define what I have seen from texas... The suburbs of El paso were really ugly and they have police controls all over the place! (well I was not far from the mexican border...)

Carlsbad Cavern national Park: really nice caves...

..but a litle bit to touristy! there even is a gift shop and a restaurant in the cave!

Stop at Roswell: town where the aliens choose to land a morning of june 1947...

Stop at Small and western town Lincoln: hometown of the legendary Billy the kid

Las Salinas: ruins of Pueblos Indian Village

Little town in the mountains on the way back to ABQ
